For shopping and ease in transportation, Garden Hills offers a variety of shopping centers and public transportation. History buffs will enjoy the downtown area of Garden Hills that was given Historical District status by the National Historical Registry in 1987.
Residents of Garden Hills will also enjoy the green spaces and recreation provided by the community’s three parks. The parks include Sunnybrook Park, Alexander Park, and Frankie Allen Park. The Sunnybrook Park lies between Brentwood Drive and Brentwood Terrace and includes a wooded area, a stream, and gorgeous stone bridges. Alexander Park is another green space that was named after the original owner of the land; Aaron Alexander. Frankie Allen Park is a large recreational complex that offers residents plenty of activities including baseball, tennis, and grill and picnic areas.
