Sherwood Forest is a highly desirable, affluent Atlanta neighborhood that was established in 1949. The community is bordered by the neighborhood of Ansley Park, the Downtown Connector, and is located directly across from Brookwood Hills.

 

When Sherwood Forest was first created, it was the poshest post-war sub-division in Atlanta. Today, Sherwood Forest has been able to retain the poshness that was first created in the post-war era. In fact, when home seekers and residents tour the streets of Sherwood Forest, they will find many homes with large lots, winding picturesque streets, and a variety of home styles to choose from. Most homes in the area are ranch-style homes, but there are a variety of contemporary homes, condos, and townhouses too.
