Winnona Park is a neighborhood located in the southeast corner of the Atlanta suburb of Decatur. This unique area is just south of downtown Decatur and bordered by the Oakhurst community, Village of Avondale Estates, and the Forest Hills subdivision.

 

The neighborhood can be entered via East College Avenue, which is the highest point in the community, and is also located directly on the East Continental Drive. While walking along the roads in Winnona Parks, residents and guests will be surrounded by Agnes Scott College, The Waldorf School, Dearborn Park, the Columbia Theological Seminary, and many pubs, retail stores, and restaurants. The earliest settlers in Winnona Park had strong connections to Agnes Scott College.

Live in Winnona Park, but want to visit downtown Decatur? No problem, Winnona Park is within walking distance of downtown Decatur. Downtown Decatur has many interesting things to see including Shoal Creek, The Avary Fulton House, which is the oldest home in Decatur, and a butterfly garden and fish pond created by the elementary school centrally located between Decatur and Winnona Park.

 

Getting to and from Winnona Park is easy thanks to many transportation arteries including a MARTA station and memorial drive. There are also many amenities in Winnona Park that make it a community people can live, work, and play in.
